About.

Founded by Aleksandar Vass OAM to support the development of boutique venues and new theatrical works.

Under the umbrella of the Vass Theatre Group, the Alex Theatre is a strategic hub that brings together a creative melting pot focused on the development of the entertainment industry from the ground upwards.

Alex Theatre Co has been set up as a professional repertory musical theatre company supported by Alex Read Theatre Performances Inc and Vass Productions to stage commercial Off-Broadway & Westend styled shows.

Show Details

We are working on the 2023 season for the Alex Theatre in St Kilda.

Currently, we are fundraising to support the showcasing of eight (8) new Australian Theatre Musical works and four (4) Plays on the Alex Theatre stages in St Kilda. 

Our production associates through Vass Productions are creating a lineup of works, however, as a privately funded Arts Venue with NO Government Arts support, we need our wider community to get involved.

When a group of fans who are highly dedicated to a piece of artwork in various media, maybe a film, book, musical artist, television series or video game, among other things, is said to have a cult following then we will be there looking for a stage show…
